Drift Creek Falls Tail is a 3.1 mile out and back trail (round-trip), that weaves you through thicket forests in Oregon, offering amazing shots of the moss-covered trees. It is particularly in Siuslaw National Forest. The ending part of the trail seems to be the main attraction offering a 240 foot suspending bridge with a waterfall overlook.
If you keep going passed the bridge you can get a shot of the waterfall closer up. This path is well-used and you can also bring your dog(s).
There is some elevation, so I would rank this hike moderate. Also in the one area especially, the path can be slippery. It’s about 3/4 of a mile into the hike.
The trail, instead of consisting of dirt, is primarily rock. Just be aware at this point. I slipped and I saw one woman fall, shattering her shoulder! So be careful walking and bring water.
This hike takes almost as much time getting there as it takes completing the hike. It’s very much worth the drive, just keep in mind its a long windy road to get there. It is not far from the coast so it is a nice side trip if you are making your way up the coast. It is located south of Pacific City, north of Newport, Oregon.
This trail was really cool in my eyes. I would highly recommend it! If your planning on doing a lot of Oregon Coastal Hikes, there is a guide you can purchase off Amazon if interested.
