Pros: I have used a therm-a-rest for the past ten years. I have recently purchased a new one, but not because it fell apart. More for the cushion/padding to be at it’s max. It was really well used!

Light-weight
Durable
Inexpensive for a “mattress.”
Insulates you and reflects radiant heat back into your body.
Compact folding design.

Cons: If you like to have a lot of padding and if you do not like sleeping on hard surfaces, this probably is not for you. This is one of the most light-weight options you can find when it comes to sleeping pads, and for this, it is not the most comfortable option you can find on the market. But, if light-weight packing is a priority for you, then this pad is good. I slept on it for ten years and I’m working out just fine.
