If you want a huge white sand beach pretty much to yourself, this park is for you. I am not going to say it is a must see on the Oregon Coast but it definitely has something to offer if your looking for something to do and your in the area. This recreation site is located in Central Oregon South of Florence.
You can have a easy going hike just to the beach, or you can choose to hike the loop (5 miles), which will bring you past some of the sand dunes, to the beach, then you have a long walk on the beachfront which is nice, and then the trail will bring you back around to the parking area, passing some more sand dunes and a nice little creek through the sand.
It’s nice. And the walk to and from the beach is nice too, bringing you through a forest appeal with many birds chirping by your ear.
It’s definitely a relaxing hike having the most strenuous part just being hiking though the sand for a long period of time. And by the parking area there is a steep drop down so on your way back to the car you have a pretty steep ascent. But it’s short-lived. You’ll be fine 😉
Hope you enjoyed this article! I love exploring and being able to share my adventures with you guys 🙂
There is a map at the parking lot so you can get a better feel of the park and feel more comfortable hiking it.
Sincerely,
Shelly/Livingonthedirt
