Cape Perpetua is located on the Central Oregon Coast in Lincoln County. It is one of my favorite places for Coastal Views in all of California and Oregon. It offers scenic trails through a jungle-like landscape and you get to experience the rough waters of the coast on these rocks that bring you right out into the water.

Cape Perpetua is managed by the National Forest Service, Siuslaw NF. There is a lot of wildlife here if you take the chance and venture into these lively tide pools. It’s probably a marine biologists paradise. But it is even nice for us too!

The rushing waters make it thrilling to be out on these rocks. You may even get a little wet if you get to close to the edge! It is not dangerous just as long as you understand you should not get too close since these waves will pull you right in.

There are a few parking areas if you want to do less walking, but you can hike the whole park from one area if you choose to do so. The hike from the car to the ocean is awesome. There might be an occasional car or two you hear but for the most part, you listen to the birds chirping around you and the forceful waves hitting the coast.

A couple places I was standing, was like hearing thunder! Some places the waves go under the rock and when a strong wave comes in, it hits the rocks very hard and literally sounds like a storm is coming in. It’s pretty cool!

I don’t have too much to say about this place except that it is awesome!

If you are limited on time and can only explore one place at Cape Perpetua definitely explore Captain Cook Trail. But it does not take long to explore the whole park. Only a few hours. And I highly recommend it!

Check out my video at the bottom of this article! If your planning on doing a lot of hiking on the Oregon Coast, you can purchase a guide off Amazon if you would like. Here is the link.

I hope you enjoyed this read! I loved being here and hope you get to explore what the Oregon Coast has to offer! If you see something cool out there, let me know. I would love to hear about it! Thank you for reading!
