About shelly

Hi, I'm Shelly! A traveler, hiker and an outdoor enthusiast. My dream my whole life was to travel, so I stopped dreaming and started doing. I quit my job and I am currently doing whatever it takes to keep going. I'll pick up jobs along the way and do what it takes to keep being a full-time traveler! I can prove that you don't need to come from money or anywhere special to live your dream. You just have to have the power of your own life to finally say YES!

Santa Theresa- Surfing and Sunsets

If you like surfing and sunsets, this is the place to be. Not going to lie though, after this, there really is not much to do. I also went during rainy season and it was more than wet. It was so wet, the streets were mud and walking around was just unbearable. All the roads are [...]

Ever want to go to Panama?!?

I will be honest. I never had an incline to visit Panama. “What in the world is in Panama, besides the Panama Canal of coarse?” I knew so little about the country. I was nervous being a solo woman traveler, not knowing Spanish, and knowing so little about the country. But I went, and it [...]

Of all the trails I hiked out West, these are my favorites!!!!

I hiked sooooo many trails out West and I loved every one of them for their own individual reasons. I won’t even say every state is different because even in every state, most of them have different climates in them! The West has so much diversity and it is unbelievable. I think some of us [...]

I quit my job, packed my car and left!

I lived a normal life just like most people in the world. I commuted to work, got stuck in traffic, had the “same shit, different day” feel, and worked the 8-4 Monday through Friday job. I also hated it! I felt stuck, angry, depressed, had anxiety and was filled with boredom. So I left!  [...]

Blue Lake- North Cascades Region

Blue Lake is a great day-hike in the North Cascades. The only thing not so great about it, is the trail may have crowds. This trail is really only hikable three months out of the year, July to September. You can go swimming in the sub-alpine lake, but even in the summer, the temperature of [...]

I will say this though, most of the trails are loooooong! But you can still see a lot of the landscape from just the roads and some shorter hikes.  […]
